Man City winger Jeremie Doku was happy to come off the bench and make the difference for the team as City beat Fulham 3-2 at home.

“We are very happy with the result. We knew it would be a tough game. They’re a good team with a lot of good players.”

“They scored a very good goal early on, which made the game even more difficult. They were very dangerous on the counter-attack, but in the end we responded well. Kova (Kovacic) scored two wonderful goals and I scored as well, so we are very pleased.”

Speaking about his goal, “For me it was a different goal because I’m not the type of player who often shoots from a distance. Most of the goals I score are dribbling and shooting from close range, so this goal was a little bit different. But to be honest, I don’t care how I score. As long as I help the team, I’m happy.”

“When I shot I felt like I had a good shot and I just hoped I had put the ball in the right direction. I did and it went in, so I was happy.”

On making an impact from the bench: “When you’re on the bench, it’s not just about being a spectator. You have to look at your position and try to see what you can do if you’re on the pitch. You want to come on and make a difference.”

“I saw that they were playing with five in the back and my defenders were wingers who were defending, so I knew that with my one-on-one qualities, there would be a lot of space. No attacker would want to defend, so I tried to make it as difficult as possible, ยูฟ่าเบท to get the ball and get to him.”
